To help expecting parents feel safe and confident in preparing for the delivery of their baby, we provide information and a tour of the maternity ward at Royal University Hospital.
We strive to promote social inclusion, raise awareness among those who may be feeling left out, reduce bullying, aggression and violence, and promote pro-social behaviour. This program also seeks to foster the development of empathy and emotional literacy in children. It is presented in selected schools at kindergarten and elementary school levels and was developed in partnership with the National Roots of Empathy office in Toronto and the Saskatoon Public School Division.
HIPPY is a new program beginning in Fall for newcomer parents with children years old that provides the materials and support to engage preschoolers in reading, writing, language, math, science, and motor skills.

Give Your Children a Head Start We are here to help you give your children a great start in life, find the balance between your traditional culture and the Canadian way of life, and meet other parents who face similar challenges. Newcomers learn about volunteerism, practise their language skills and make new connections in the community. Volunteer Samplers provide a comfortable way for participants to join a staff member and try out a volunteer role.
Programs for Adults. Make Meaningful Connections A number of our programs are designed to provide adults with an opportunity to connect with one another, develop new skills and establish friendships that make their transition easier. Programs for Women. Childcare and interpreters are provided as needed. Women's Gardening Small group of women are encouraged to step out into the fresh air and get back to nature, to improve their physical and mental health, as well as to foster communication, thinking and social skills through gardening and planting seasonal plants.
